Movie Making:

In this class, students explore the history and mechanics of movies. Students will also study the different genres of movies, such as silent, live-action, animation, and stop-motion. Students will complete their projects, including writing and filming their movies. Semester Long

Student Leadership:

Students will have the opportunity to increase their effectiveness of leadership skills. Students will be representing SMS, so they will be expected to conduct themselves as a positive example of what it means to be an SMS Cougar.

They will be asked to complete daily school duties and facilitate events throughout the year. Yearlong

Yearbook:

Students will learn page design, advanced publishing techniques, copywriting, editing and photography while producing a creative, innovative yearbook which records school memories and events. The results will be the school yearbook, which students can purchase. Yearlong
