Students beginning band at Syringa may choose to play the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or percussion. Later on, students can add to their talent by incorporating the French horn, oboe, bassoon, baritone, tuba, bass clarinet, contrabass clarinet, and many, many more!

Beginning, Concert, and Symphonic Bands are under the direction of
Mr. Tracy Martin
BEGINNING BAND:
Beginning Band is open to all grade levels. We cover the basics of reading music, basic instrument care, and performing simple, concert band music.
CONCERT BAND:
Intermediate Band is open to students who have demonstrated proficiency with Beginning Band instrumental and rehearsal skills.
SYMPHONIC BAND:
Advanced Band is open to students who have demonstrated proficiency with Intermediate Band instrumental and rehearsal skills, or to students who have been selected by the director to fill open positions.
