SPORTS:

BOYS BASKETBALL: Coach Lopez and Coach Thomas are excited to have 8th grade boys come out for tryouts TODAY! Tryouts are at 3:15 at Jefferson Middle School for 8th grade boys. Make sure you bring your shoes and gyms clothes. We hope to see you there.

 

WRESTLING: Congratulations to Hunter Bidleman and Miguel Perez for you weekend accomplishments at the prestigious Salt Lake Slam. Hunter walked away the champion in his weight while Miguel had a fantastic 3rd place finish. Gavin Sandoval also had a great showing winning 5 matches and going out just before placing. Good job men.

 

COUGAR WRESTLING CLUB: Anyone interested in joining the Cougar Wrestling Club remember that the season starts this week. Practices are Mon-Wed 7:30-8:45 and Thur 6-8. Any Syringa students who attend at least 3 practices per week are free! Contact Coach Freeman with any questions.

 

DANCE TEAM: There will be no dance team tomorrow. We will have winter dance team pictures on Thursday, so please wear blue jeans and your dance team shirts.

-The CHS High School dance team will be hosting their second annual Mini-me clinic this Thursday and next Thursday. You will learn a routine with the high school team and perform it at a boys varsity basketball game. The cost is $25 and that includes a t-shirt. Applications can be found in Mrs. Hawks room. 

 

SKI NIGHT - The annual ski trip to Bogus Basin will take place on Tuesday, January 29th during the day.  Registration forms and payment are due no later than Friday, January 18th. The cost is $35 for transportation, lift ticket, rental equipment and a lesson. If you own your equipment, the cost is $25.

 

ICE SKATING - The Skate N.O.W. Program is FREE to the first 250, 12-16 year old's that sign up.  Those that sign up will receive an ice skating lesson, a snack, a warm drink and participate in a Compass activity related to Nutrition and Wellness, Economics, Service and Community and World Exploration.  It will be held for 5 consecutive Saturday's starting 1/12/19 from 10:00-11:30 am at the Ice Ribbon. If you are interested come by the office for an application!

 

ROBOTICS – Robotics will start again TOMORROW
