Dear Syringa Families,

We are excitedly preparing to welcome our Cougars back for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 19!

As we put the finishing touches on the renovations throughout our building, we have made the decision to postpone our Back-to-School Night originally scheduled for Monday, August 17. Our priority over the next several days is making sure the building is fully prepared, safe, and ready for students when they walk through our doors on the first day of school.

While we are disappointed that we won't be able to welcome families into the building on August 17, we are looking forward to something even better! Within the next few weeks, we will host a Grand Re-Opening Celebration for our students, families, and community. We can't wait to show off our newly renovated school once everything is completely finished and put together. More information about the date and details of this event will be coming soon!

To help students feel prepared and confident for the first day, we have put together a packet for every student that includes:

• Student class schedule
• School map
• Welcome letter
• Frequently Asked Questions page
• School bell schedule

These packets have been mailed out to families earlier this week. We will also share this important back-to-school information on our school website and social media pages today so families can access it right away.  Student schedules can also be found on the parent and student portals for PowerSchool. 

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we complete this exciting transformation of Syringa. We are incredibly excited for our students to see their school and, most importantly, to have our Cougars back in the building on Wednesday, August 19!
