At Syringa Middle School, we're dedicated to cultivating a culture where students can become responsible and engaged citizen scholars, known as 'Cougar Culture.'
To start the school year, we hosted a Cougar Culture Assembly with community speakers including: Josh Engler from CHS's Trio Program, former SMS student Nick Mendez (who recently interned at NASA), and Officer Resendez from the CPD.
Officer Resendez challenged Syringa Middle School students to become Upstanders. He challenged students to be "caught" being an Upstander on the Google form provided, aiming for at least 5 submissions by the end of the quarter (students can enter times they are an Up-Stander or times when they see others being an Upstander; teachers and staff can also enter times they see students being an Up-Stander).
Your support in promoting a positive Cougar Culture is appreciated. Together, we can inspire our students to make a meaningful impact in our community.
