Every year, a huge group of community and education partners come together to celebrate Computer Science Week with the Hour of Code challenge. December 7th through 11th is this year's event. If you haven't participated yet, consider having your students dive in this year. This is a global event that allows students to practice perseverance and problem solving at every grade level!

There is a raffle to enter if you want to win some prizes again this year!! To enter, take a picture of yourself with your Certification of Completion. Post it to Facebook or Instagram (yours or a parents or send it to Dr. Ferro to post on Syringa's FB page) with #IdahoSTEMAC AND #CodingIdaho. You will automatically be entered if you follow these steps! At the end of the CSEdWeek, the Idaho STEM Action Center will pick several winners!
You can also enter to win a $50 Amazon gift card or an iPad by filling out the entry form from IDLA! There will be one (1) gift card winner chosen per category; PreK-3rd grade, 4th-6th grade, 7th-9th grade, 10th-12th grade and Adult and one (1) grand prize winner of an iPad chosen from all categories. Be sure to print or save your certificate of completion as this will be required to claim the prizes.
